All sales are local pick up UNLESS you have made shipping arrangements with us prior to purchase!
So this has happened SEVERAL times now. MY SALES POLICY IS NOT TO BE COPY AND PASTED TO YOUR WEBSITE. I have TYPED THIS PAGE UP MYSELF an found it copy and pasted WORD FOR FOR on other peoples farm pages. ENOUGH! You are welcome to read this and type up your OWN ideas for a Policy YOU would like to follow on YOUR farm! Stop COPY AND PASTING MINE!
ALL horned kids will be disbudded (No Horns) before they leave. We no longer offer goat's WITH horns. Dairy goats can not have horns in the show ring and in my opinion make better pets without horns. So many people do not realize what they are getting into when they ask for kids to keep their horns. The number of people I have talked to who get horned goats and "regret it" or want to "remove horns" is just too high. These are pet goats that are rarely kept on vast open land to range naturally.

Horns vs No Horns?
All kids that stay until weaned will be up to date on CD&T vaccines, on a coccidia prevention and deworming before they leave. We will also give them a Copper Bolus & Selenium Supplement around the time they are weaned.
When purchasing a kid from us you are always welcome to contact us with questions and concerns during the life of your goat.
If you purchase a BOTTLE BABY you will be responsible for providing any care it needs, including vaccines & worming, at the appropriate times. Intact does and bucks can go on a bottle between 2-3 weeks of age. Wethers must stay tell weaned. Weaned kids leave here JUST as tame as bottle fed kids. We handle all of our babies daily from birth.

Deposits:
50% deposit to hold any buck or doe until weaned or picked up.
$50 deposit to hold any wether until weaned or picked up.
Deposits are NOT refundable.
If we are offering an INTACT buck and you want him wethered he will be priced according to his intact buck price.
If you want an INTACT buck wethered he must be paid in full by the time he is wethered.
*We offer MANY wethers at the price of $150. However, we rarely offer intact bucks.
The few intact bucks we do offer will NOT be reduced to wether price even if you want them wethered.
ALL Money paid is NON-REFUNDABLE unless something happens to your goat while they are in OUR care.
Please make sure you are prepared to bring your goats home BEFORE you pay for them.
Check with your family, your land owner, your home owners associations.
Health Testing:
ALL Breeding goats in our herd are free from CAE, CL & Johne's Disease.
All breeding Does are tested yearling for CAE. We test for CL & Johne's randomly and have never had a positive on our property.
All new animals to our herd come from tested herds and often have been tested prior to purchase. To date, we have never had a positive animal on our property.
However, we can not guarantee the continued health status of any goat once they leave our herd. Once they leave our farm we can not control over what they are exposed to. Even though you are buying a kid from a health tested herd we highly recommend you continue to test yearly! If you are purchasing a goat from us over 6 months of age from us we will happily run CAE, CL & Johne's testing on them at our expense IF they have not been tested within the last 12 months.
If they have been recently tested I'm happy to test them again for you at your expense. If you want specific tests run on any goat in our herd just for your records we will happily have them done at your expense.
HEALTH GUARANTEE:
Texas Skyz Farm is NOT responsible for the health of an animal purchased from us once it LEAVES our farm unless we are presented with a
Vet’s official statement that the animal in question had a condition prior to leaving. The risk of illness or loss is the new owners once the animal leaves our farm. We guarantee our goats are free of CAE, CL and Johnes at the time of purchase and for 7 DAYS after they leave our farm. We can not guarantee continued health status because we have no control over what they are exposed to!
INTACT BREEDING ANIMAL GUARANTEE:
Bucks : Any REGISTERED buck with tattoo's from our farm that is unable to produce kids may be replaced at our discretion.
A health check by a veterinarian is required along with documents proving he is infertile. Our REGISTERED bucks are guaranteed not to have any teat abnormalities, such as split teats or extra teats. We check all kids before they leave. However, if we were to miss one we will replace the buck for the ORIGINAL PURCHASER as long as we can prove he was ours. (Tattoo's and matching our photo records.) Breeding Guarantees expire when the buck turns 2 years old OR when he is sold/transferred from the original buyer.
Does: Any REGISTERED doe with tattoo's from our farm that is proven to be unable to become pregnant due to genetic abnormalities may be replaced at our discretion. A health check by a veterinarian is required along with documents stating why she is unable to become pregnant. (ex:hermaphrodite)
Our REGISTERED does are guaranteed not to have teat abnormalities, such as split teats or extra teats. We check all kids before they leave. However, if we were to miss one we will replace the doe for the ORIGINAL PURCHASER as long as we can prove the doe was ours. (Tattoo's & matches our photo record). Breeding Guarantees expire when the doe turns 2 years old OR when she is sold/transferred from the original buyer.
**We do Not offer any breeding guarantees on UNREGISTERED stock**
I will NOT sell a single goat to be in a single goat home.
They are a herd animal and they do not do well alone. You do not have to purchase 2 goats from me but they should always have another goat friend waiting for them. Goats require constant companionship. No matter how much time you spend with your goat, a single goat will still be "alone". Goats operate as part of a herd and you can not break their natural instinct to be a herd animal. A lonely goat is not a happy goat!
We reserve the right to refuse any sale.
We want our goats to live out a happy life in caring homes. You must be willing to provide your new goat with what we consider basic care.

Pick Up:
All Kids must be picked up by 8 weeks of age.
Boarding fee of $1 per day applies for kids that stay past 8 weeks of age

Shipping:
We will happily ship any REGISTERED goats within the USA at the buyers expense. Their are 2 ways to ship goats.
We do NOT ship wethers or unregistered goats. This is simply because the cost of shipping is usually much higher then the value of the goat.
Ground Shipping:
Ground shipping can range anywhere from $100 up to several thousand! It all depends on who is transporting your animal, how far they have to travel and if they are traveling out of the way to transport your animal. Buyer is reasonable for negotiating shipping charges with the ground shipper of their choice. If you need help locating a ground shipper I will do my best to assist you but sometimes reasonable ground transport just can't be found. When a kid leaves here with a ground shipper I can NOT be responsible for the goat kid any longer. No health guarantee on a kids that are sent on ground transport. This is because I can't control how the ground shipper will care for the goat kid during transport. I can not guarantee what the goat will be exposed to while with the ground shipper. It is the buyers responsibility to be comfortable and trusting of the ground shipper they choose. I require all kids who leave her with a ground shipper to have a basic health certificate from my local livestock vet. This certificate is $35 and ensures the kid is checked by a vet prior to leaving. This way the buyer knows the condition of the goat when if left my care. Some shippers may require extra testing.
Air Shipping:
Air Shipping is the fastest and most direct way to get a goat kid to you. You will have them the same day I put them on the plane. You just pick them up at your local airport! I can USUALLY ship 2 kids together in ONE crate which helps offset the cost of shipping. Generally you can expect this to cost around $350 - $400. Here is a BASIC break down on the shipping cost. It may vary slightly depending on your location, size of crate needed or airline being used.
Airline fee: $220
Shipping Crate: $60 - $100
Vet Health Certificate: $30 - $50
My Gas: $40
(It's 120 miles round trip to the vet to get the the health certificate & then to the Airport!)
