This is probably the most challenging litter of babies I have ever had! They really are lucky little kittens! A few days after I got them they came down with panleukopenia (feline distemper). The chances of survival were very slim! But as you can see they ALL pull through! It was 2 weeks of "touch and go" with them. I was up with them every 2 hours around the clock. I'm pretty sure I went a bit crazy with the lack of sleep but it was all worth it! They are now COMPLETELY HEALTHY, Not contagious & ready for their forever homes!

Oh the cuteness! 5 Long Haired Black kittens! Super sweet & raised inside. Although they are all "black" they have varying amounts of white "ticking" in their fur. One has so much white ticking she is almost gray!

"Willow" ~ Black Long Haired ~ Female
Willow is a very sweet young momma. She had to have been someone's inside kitty. When we brought her home she settled in just like she owned the place. Very tolerant of young children carrying her around. Not afraid of dogs. Good with other cats. She always follows me around and likes to lay at my feet.

" Lexi " ~ Am. Staff / Cattle Dog mix ~ Female
Taking a small break from bottle babies since we are in the full swing of goat kidding season. This super sweet girl just WON my heart! Pulled her end of day on her last day since she was set to be euthanized! This is an AWESOME DOG! Loves people & Dog Friendly dogs! House broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash & even knows a few basic commands!
Lexi weighs about 40 lbs and is approx. 1 year old.
She is still very puppy like and LOVES to play!

We are fostering this cute little girl for San Antonio Pets Alive. She was found in a dumpster with 7 other puppies! She was set to be euthanized because she was an Underage Bottle Baby. San Antonio Pets Alive pulled them from the euthanasia list and gave them a chance to find foster homes! We brought her home when she was about 3 weeks old. She has short hair. She is very playful and loves to follow me around. We have no idea what breed she may be but the vet is guessing "Shepard/Hound Mix. She is 15lbs at 12 weeks old. She is expected to be a Med. - Lg. breed dog.

San Antonio Pets Alive pulled them from the euthanasia list and gave them a chance to find foster homes! We brought her home when she was about 3 weeks old. She has medium length hair. She is super curious and the calmer of the bunch! She has the cutest expressions and loves to watch everything that goes on! When she is watching you she cocks her head to the side. It's just TOO cute! We don't know what breed she is but the vet has guessed Shepard/Hound Mix. She is 12lbs at 8 weeks old. She is expected to be a Med. - Lg. breed dog.

Alice is just the sweetest mama kitty ever! She is so calm & relaxed! She was brought into Animal Control with her 5 kittens as a stray from an apartment complex. I believe she was someone's inside cat. She has settled in right at home here. She always seems to be smiling and loves to be petted. If you talk to her she will "talk" back to you. She is very eager to find her forever home INDOORS & off the streets!

Wheezy is a very playful and sweet kitten! She was very tiny and sickly when we got them. She recovered nicely and in no time she caught up to her brothers and sisters. She has been handled daily and frequently tolerates my 4 year old son carrying her around. He is also accustom to our dogs & cats.

Lucky, Miracle & Trooper were our surviving bottle babies that I picked up on Nov. 14th from San Antonio Pets Alive. They was 4 days old when I brought them home. I wasn't looking to foster any dogs at the moment but their mom had been euthanized & they were next. There was a total of 15 puppies (2 litters) that were without a mother! I stayed until the last minute and let everyone else pick from the pups. I wasn't going to leave anyone behind to be euthanized so I brought the remaining puppies home. Sadly, we lost several of the babies because they came down with a bad case of kennel cough/pneumonia after I brought them home. These 3 puppies were some fighters! They spend a LONG time in "Puppy ICU" next to my bed. We had a nebulizer running on them for weeks!

"Dottie"

We saved Dottie & Diamond from being euthanized because they had a tiny patch of ringworm. (Ringworm is completely treatable!) Dottie also has a VERY small umbilical hernia that her future adopter should know about. It is about as big around as a pencil. Her vet at ACS said that she is too small to have it corrected right now. The vet did not feel it will cause any health issues because it is so small but should it ever need corrected that will be at the new owners responsibility.

"Shadow" ~ Black Long Haired ~ Male
We pulled Shadow out of Animal Care Services so he would not be euthanized! He would have been euthanized simply because he was Too Young to be adopted out! City of San Antonio Requires Kittens to be at least 8 weeks of age before adoption. Animal Care Services only holds animals for 3 days! Shadow was approximately 6 weeks old when we took him into foster. He is a a typical friendly, curious and playful kitten. He will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and wormed before he is adopted.
